and it keeps the sensors happy that sense the wheels when they pass. i've seen trucks stage up, perty much smoke out the staging area, get halfway down the track before the timing system starts because of the amount of smoke that blocked the sensors at the starting line. that is why 90% or more racers have stacks or turn ups. never heard of the turbo grenading deal but it makes sense to me -

I kinda figured the smoke was the main reason. I have a weed burner setup, but only put out a little puff at the start anyway since I'm running stock sticks and stock oil. -

Interesting although kinda sucks when you have a setup like mine. I would think a turn down would be the best instead of sending things flying into the air. -

x2 with the reasons above plus i wanted something diff. ,i was at a pull the other week and all the guys with stock location exhaust was blowing dust and smoke over the spectatorsi figure i could help out and just blow it up -

I like the Idea of turning it straight up for competition. That will get the smoke up and out of the way for spectators. Normal everyday driving I'll stick with normal exhaust. I try not to blow a lot of smoke in everyday driving unless provoked -
