What Diesel to get?
Selling my P.O.S. Ford Ranger that only ran 16.1.... Trying to figure out what kind of diesel to get that i could do a lot of shit to and mod it... I was thinkin ram 2500... what would be the top 5 things to do to one once i get it?

Get a Common Rail Cummins 03-07 5.9L
#1 Gauges #2 Smarty Programmer #3 5" Exhaust #4 Air Intake Kit #5 Upgrade Fuel System

 mostly in that order too, but depending on transmission type if auto that would be my first upgrade just because you will learn the hardway if you don't upgrade it. that is with the dodge easiest diesel to make fast is the duramax by far

Ya, 03 cummins... dont got that much money, something 12,000 and under... I was thinkin like a 01 cummins 24 valve...

anything is going to be better than the ranger if you want to work it.
The chevy is nice but spendy. cummins any year 94+ or 99+ 7.3L should give you a good bang for your buck. Hard to go wrong with any diesel.

Ya, I was looking at a Ford 95' 7.3 pretty nice truck... Dont know how many miles it has but if it is under 199,999 I think i may look into jumpin on it... I know the 7.3's are the only good ford diesel's... input?

A 95 Ford with a 7.3 were a decent truck. I would just leave the engine at stock power. A 99 7.3 you can get way more power.

yea if your looking for upgrades go for somethimg a little newer, my friend just bought a 04 cummins 3500 with 90,000miles that a older man drove, for 12,000 i would sugest a cummins, then duramax then power stroke

ya you need a cummins... nothin will beat the cheap prices.
