4bt swap? sounded a little light for a 6bt.

I hadn't seen that one yet. There are a few buggies running around w/ 4bt's and a cj7 and a yj running 6bt's in my neck of the woods. My buddy is putting a detroit of sorts in his crawler. I think it's a 4cyl... bunch of things driven off the back of the motor... good stuff boat stuff

That is what I dream of have the HPd-60 rear d-60 (Iknow that guy had rockwells, but to heavy for my tastes) and 205 t-case just need a 4bt and manual tranny, I have been following a 4bt swap on www.pirate4x4.com, and cummins4btforums, just need the $3,000 + for a decent engine, and find a np435 tranny, I dig the stack through the hood, but I'm guessin the fumes would get old if you were stuck in some line at a club meet, while some jackass tries to prove all you need is a 33" tire to do anything

With a turn out like he has and a high stack its not a problem. I've spent a lot of time on equipment with stacks just like that and only had problems when there was cracks or holes in it.
