Default offroading front end and rear end comparision

Hey Guys,

Currently in light duty truck and want to go either super duty or ram hd, but got a few questions thats bothering me and can't seem to find a straight or clear answer on which is what.

Before I start, my offroading is nothing hardcore. I'm not jumping trucks or anything but I am in bad terrains, hunting fishing, hiking trails at reasonable speeds and sometimes really bad dirt/mud/trees terrain so the 1500's aren't taking much before it gives out.

Now to the meat of subject.

SD has what looks to me like a really beefy front end for going offroading. My brother in law has a duramax and always replace balljoints and having front end issues. SD's look huge compare to the Dodge. REAR end with the sterling 10.5 I have no clue.

Dodge has what looks like pretty reasonable front end SA, but not as beefy as ford, but then again looks can be deceiving. Their rear however with that AAM 11.5 looks much better than the sterling 10.5.

My question is how reliable is dodge's front end SA in comparison to the SD SA and How strong is the sterling 10.5 in comparison to AAM 11.5?

Feel free to voice your thoughts.

Mods I am not sure if this is in the right section if not move it, wasn't sure where it needs to be.

Andy
