wow, scored a deal.
i have about $300 in to my puddle jumper i'll see if can get some updated pic of her tomorrow. she's a work in progress now. i just relocated the seat back where it belongs beside the other. with a new bracket and swivel. some one re did the bow and mounted the seat up there so i looked like a small bass boat. i'm swapping it back in to a speed boat.
same hull design as this but mine is just under 14' with a 90hp
the one in the pic is 15-1/2 with a 100hp

any one know what that bracket is called that hold up the outboard like this?

I've heard it called a kickboard but not sure if that is the technical term for it. Yeah I got the truck for 8K and the boat for $300. Idiot bought a new boat at the end of last season and didnt bother winterizing this one worth a chit and messed the old motor up. I'm glad I held onto a few old Ford motors I've built.

you know what they say, Good things come to those who wait.
i wish i could pick up a diesel for 8g. i paid 12g for my 02 3/4HD gasser but i came with a plow. there's not alot of diesels up here compare to other parts of the U.S.

Good score on the boat. it's a buyers market on boats now.
i have a 24' with a 98' 4.3GM alpha 1 gen II.
the motor went on me a couple years ago. i still haven't gotten around to putting a new motor in. but reciently i bought 2 200hp evinrudes for $400 off CL they where running takes offs from a repower. the owner left the engines at the boat shop and never came back for them. i was thinking of mounting one on that 24 footer.

i wounder whats better a transom jack or trim tabs? -

I'm going to guess the transom jack. I know that all the big power bass boats run the transom jacks. Some old freinds I use to hang with had a Norris Craft that ran that setup and it worked great. -

Ive noticed it helps to take allot of the shake out of the boat and impact through the transom. Let me know what you think of it if you run one. -
