If you'll get me a part number for what exactly your looking at, I'll be glad to help! I'm sure you've probably seen that theres been problems with intakes on the new emmision motors? Mainly on the 6.4 powerstroke but i've seen some minor issues on the LMM

The SI system act like a RAM AIR System. I actually like the AFE Pro Dry S Stage 2 Type Cx Intake System 51-11332 better because it uses the OIL FREE Filter.... Just wash it let it dry and drop it back in....

I have the AFE 75-81332, it is pretty nice. I have no clue if the one I have is the SI or the XP (it has the tube coming out of the bottom like factory), but I can tell you the turbo sounds different than the typical "whine", and I saw an increase in noise and MPG over the PPE airbox mod. (I know you did not ask).

Mine had both the dry and oiled filter but I used the dry.

Got a question for u with the Pro guard 7 filter and intake..I am also running the PPE air box mod and considering this AFE unit...Did u have any issues at all? This is my first truck without a after market intake. The hp increase doesn't really matter to me , if indeed there is any..But the reusable filter i miss...

Just a thought, have you looked at S&B filters? Best bang for your buck and no codes with these units. We have had a few AFE's come back because they kept throwing codes in LMM trucks. Haven't had one S&B come back yet and they outsell the AFE stuff 3-1.
