Default no smoke?

ok im new to duramax trucks but i recently bought a 2002dmax 6" lift 35" tires. my last powerstroke blew alot of smoke with a bully dog but now my duramax wont blow any with the bully dog triple pup. now i have the older model edge juice with attitude and the hot unlock code and it still barely blows any smoke. all i want is to be able to flip a switch and role smoke all over any ******* at a redlight or on the road only when needed. can any one tell me a cheap or easy upgrade to make it so i can do that? please

any help is greatly appreciated thanks again

Plastic bag/tshirt/granny panties over airfilter will get your smoke. You can do a search and find the proper method

On a serious note, there are different mods you can do. I know my truck will put out nice cloud on the hot tunes, but it clears up real fast. The duramax was designed as cleaner diesel engine. Your better off just leaving said a-hole in a cloud of tire smoke. There isn't really a cheap way to make smoke that isn't hard on your engine. EFI Live with a smoke tune will be your best bet

Sorry I didnt see this earlier. You can buy a tuned ECM for your truck from duramaxtuner.com. they come with tunes pre programmed by a guy and i hear he does good work. My truck was custom dyno tuned by Danville performance in Danville, IN. You can either find a shop that does EFI live tuning and pay them to do it(recommended method in this case) or you can buy the software and other equipment and do it yourself. You may be getting in over your head trying to do it your self, I am not sure on what your experience level is with this stuff. I know I am a little timid about trying it myself, but would love to learn. I am not real good with computers or electronic stuff.

my suggestion would be talk to Nick (duramaxtuner.com) and get a programed ecu with a dsp5 switch, this will allow you to switch between 5 programmed tunes of what you want, he can do a smoke tune, and a cool lope tune as well

your best bet would definitely be EFI live...good luck, let me know what you go with and how good it is...I'm in the market for a tuner.

There is a setting on the edge juice with attittude that lets you adjust smoke output. When i adjusted mine back when i had it, it would blow a healthy dose of smoke before it would clean up. The duramax uses the mass airflow sensor to limit fuel, the computer will not feed all the commanded fuel to the engine until the airflow has caught up.

I assume the more smoke setting on the edge works the same as modifying the MAF tables with EFI live, basically you manipulate the MAF sensor and get more of, or all of the fuel you command with the pedal instead of it slowly increasing fuel output as the air comes in.

What setting caused the smoke? mine on level 5 with airdog fuel pump, 5" turbo back straight pipe with stacks barely leaves any smoke?
