Default batmowheel install

I just bought a batmowheel for my lb7 i was just wondering if anyone has put one in before. Does the turbo have to be removed or can it be put on with it still in the truck?

I have questioned putting a different wheel on a VGT. Most common answer is to send it out to get done. As the shaft speed can get to 130,000 RPM, balancing is very important.

Ya well i got it on which was miserable to say the least because i couldnt get the turbo out of the truck because of the exhaust down pipe. But what a huge difference it made for allaround driving expecially with my chip turned up just a little. I wouldnt worry about balancing anything it should be balanced when they are done making the wheel.

Please let us know how the engine reacts. Spooling, EGT's, peak boost. The BatMoWheel seems to be a hot topic, and getting some real world testing would be nice!

i will say that this new batmowheel was a big upgrade, it spools in about half the time, added noticeable power in the overall rpm range especially with my chip turned up, cleaned up some smoke on higher power levels, and sounds awesome spooling up and down. most ppl say its much louder than stock turbo wheel, it is louder but not very bad at all. during normal driving egt's r the same, i have not been able to hook up to a trailer and see if its true that they lower the egt's 200 deg. but it wouldnt supprise me if it did with how it runs with it now. boost didnt increase it still maxes the turbo out at about 32-34 pounds like normal. i have the 6 speed manual trans and it has very small lag between shifts get this behind a automatic and i would think the performance would be even more impressive. if ur lookin for a good performance upgrade and u dont want to buy a new turbo i would give this a try. the only downfall of the project is the install, if your turbo has been out or u have upgraded your down pipe and up pipes lately it would make it much easier to do this install for sure. other than the exhaust the rest is easy just basic tools and know how.
