Default Fuel Tank Heater/Metal Fuel Tank

oi....so winter's coming and I need a better solution this year for cold weather performance. I'm looking at fuel tank heaters and got in contact with Wolverine heaters, but they said "the fuel tank MUST be made of metal in order for the heater to work". Well....as far as I know every pickup truck from the last 10+ years has polyethylene plastic tanks now, and I thought the shield on my Titan was metal but apparently it's just an extra layer of plastic...

So...a couple questions:

Does anyone make a replacement fuel tank that's metal?
(I need to use a heater on the primary tank, it won't work so well if it's on an auxiliary saddle tank in the box.)

Does anyone know of a fuel tank heater that could work in/on a plastic OEM tank?

If I can't find a solution this year I might have to buy a winter gasser beater...or just buy a semi. Not cool.

Alright so my tank IS metal....Apparently titan changed their designs???

Anyways...Arctic fox has an in-line fuel heater with a 500,000/5yr warranty on it that runs off engine coolant. What's involved in splicing coolant lines to hook up to this heater? Would it be a hard thing to do for a guy who has no garage space? (I might get a shop to do the install).

Also found some electric heater pads for the tank. I'm going to try using an inverter in the cab plugging into the 12V outlet then running a 500W heater pad....as long as that works out.

Any other ideas?

Yes, I have different ideas.
First, an inverter of 500W will draw 41 Amps from your battery. That means it will work an hour due to outside temperatures and your battery will be dead.
Let me show you a different solution which is a lot used in europe.
It's called a blue heater. They are aux heaters, operated by diesel fuel or gas and are avilable as air or coolant heaters. They start an half an hour before you plan to drive off an have a heat output of 5000Watts. with a coolant heater you can preheat your engine, your tank and your cab, real nice. I also have one. Size of the unit is like a small shoe box.
They are made by Webasto or Espar.
The military uses them also a lot. Price range in Germany is about 1000€ without install, but it can be done easily by yourself.
Con: It also runs on battery. It need 40W by itself and depending on your need of heat in the cab you have to run the fan which also needs some wattage.
I have installed a second battery with a battery insulator, so the car will always start. And of course the car is always warm in the morning( Truck use that device also to heat their cabs and engines).
they have nice and small remote contols range approx. 1/2mile. so you don't have to leave the house to start the heater. also available is a remote via cell phone! So you can start it from anywhere.
