Last week President Obama, and the heads of numerous automakers, stood on a stage and announced the new Corporate Average for Fuel Economy (CAFE) will have a new target of 54.5 miles per gallon by 2025. That figure is lower than the 62 mpg that the government originally wanted, but was balked at by automakers. [...]
