Default 2014 Chevy Silverado High Country loads up with $45,100* starting price

Filed under: Car Buying, Truck, Chevrolet, GM

Chevrolet has released pricing information on its most luxurious Silverado ever, the High Country. Priced at $45,100, it undercuts its top-of-the-line competitors from Ford (F-150 Limited, $50,025), Ram (1500 Laramie Limited, $47,780) and Toyota (Tundra 1794 Edition, $48,785) - much less higher-priced offerings like the Ford King Ranch, Ram Longhorn and GMC Sierra Denali.

Available in both two- and four-wheel drive, the High Country's standard engine is a 355-horsepower, 5.3-liter EcoTec V8. Those that need additional grunt can also opt for the 6.2-liter, 420-horsepower V8. Regardless of which engine is chosen, High Country customers will get a number of unique exterior details, which includes no shortage of chrome trim. The cabin sports saddle brown leather, while the seats are heated and cooled. The result, according to Chevy, is a truck that's "equally adept when working a ranch during the day and stepping out for the evening."

While we have the basic starting price for the High Country, detailed pricing info pertaining to things like engine and drivetrain options, interior features like a sunroof and rear-seat entertainment system and the High Country Premium Package have yet to be released. But while we're waiting, you can delve into the full press release below.Continue reading 2014 Chevy Silverado High Country loads up with $45,100* starting price
