Black Smoke

Black Smoke
Okay I've got to get this off my chest. I'll start off by saying that 90% of the time my truck is tuned very clean; I use compressed air to tune the AFC and so on. But on to my soapbox...
I have head it up to my chest of seeing some new members even mention the word smoke and then 10 different people proceed to hammer him for the next 3 pages of the thread. I'm against "smoking out" people and all that dumb stuff, but don't you think we're going a little overboard? I understand we're concerned about keeping our sport of diesel performance around, but do we need to take the measures we do? I believe we should politely, but sternly, point the individual in the right direction and correct them about how inconsiderate it is when they smoke out people. If we run them off with what is said in the next five posts, how can we expect to have an impact on that person, and perhaps change the way they think?
I'll close this out by making a bold statement: I like black smoke. I'm not scared to say it. Do I roll huge clouds out when I go through town hoping that people will see me? No. Do I smoke out cars, bikes, pedestrians, etc.? Heck no. But if I'm driving down a dirt road out in the country, I will admit I get a sense of satisfaction laying into my truck and watching a cloud of black smoke mix with the cloud of dust behind me. It's my fuel bought with my money and I'll use it how I please. Thats just me, and who I am. But just know I'm also here to protect our sport of diesel performance.

Sled pullers are not in the same category as street trucks.
Their goal is absolute power for 300 feet. They are actually making power, not "rolling coal" like a lonely wanna-be looking for attention.
Saying your street pickup is even remotely close to a sled puller because it smokes is like saying your toy nitro RC car is like a NHRA dragster because they both use nitro.
