Question advice please

I recently purchased a 98 dodge cummins with an automatic. It was a friend of mines from high school but a year ago he got shot and killed in Afganistan. I sold my 02 cummins so that i could buy this truck and build it up like Jon wanted to when he came home. As of right now it has the kdp killed, built trans,hx40 with wastegate plugged,4in. straight pipe, plate removed with afc gutted and tuned. I have the 4k gov. springs and a mack rack plug on order for it. Whats next? I want to be able to drag race and do sled pulls but still have a reliable truck to pull down the highway or go camping. Where should i go next or what should i change? i would like to see around 1200ftlbs. but be reliable as possible if possible.

Ditto. or SDX injectors, your choice.

Also bumping your timing up a few degrees and head studs would be on my list in addition to what Luke suggested.

whats the truck look like? If i was building a memorial truck for a buddy, If it ran well and reliable, personally i would keep the engine like it was for a while and make sure it looked like the baddest **** on the street, that way everybody would see it and remember. The reason i say this is i knew a guy who was killed in a wreck and his friends built his truck like he had planned on it but spent so much on the engine and drivetrain that they ran out money for the paint and body. good luck, im sure your buddy would be proud
