Default fuel line modifiction

ok im updating my fuel lines to 1/2 this weekend and was thinking about useing pex pipe? i was wondering if that stuff would hold up to diesel fuel? the reason i ask is because im a plumber and have lots of fittings and pipe laying around. or dot break line maybe?

I picked up some 1/2 inch hose from NAPA that was approved for any fuel, it's good heavy duty hose. I can't remember the price but I was suprised at how cheap it was. I ran it all the way from the draw straw to the lift pump, and I know I didn't need 1/2 but figured if I wanna go with an aftermarket pump and dual feed in the future it would already be there since I had to do fuel lines anyways.
