Stacks install question
I go home on mid tour leave very soon, and I bought a set of used dual 5" stacks for my powerstroke to install while I am relaxing at home. My question is, I have heard from one of my buddies that there is a template available to cut from in your bed floor. Does anyone else have one? Also what do people use to secure the stacks to the bed so they dont rotate around when a tree branch wacks them? u bolts maybe? any other things i should know about? I already have a 4" downpipe, and 4" straight pipe.

when I installed my homemade stacks, I had the option to use muffler clamps when mounting in my bed. The stacks got welded to the headache rack legs with the clamps so that they have the support. Worked out well, just had to do alot of mesuring before welding so that they were equally spaced

The stack kit that I was going to put on my truck came with U bolts that you could either bolt to the floor of the bed or the sides...
And Definitely try to find a hole saw. It will be much easier than using a jig saw or something. Keep the piece you cut out in case you decide later you don't want stacks... You can weld it back in place..
