Tips for buying a truck out of state

Re: Tips for buying a truck out of state
Look for leaks, tranny oil around the tranny case, oil around the oil pan. Check the oil. Obviously take it for a decent drive so you know how it handles on highway if possible. when it is actually warmed up..
Also another important yet over looked thing is to bleed the brakes, that will tell you a lot of things about the condition of the braking system. The the brake fluid should be relatively clear and not black like octapus ink.
Also tow the truck back to your state if its far away. Many people do this.

what i did was find someone close that lived to the truck i was buying out of state and had them go look at it. I actually found a guy from the site here who offered to look at it. What state is it in and where maybe another forumn member would go look at it for ya. if its within 100 or so miles from me i would go take a look at it for ya and that way you at least got some insight about it so you dont have to make the drive and be dissappointed if its not what the guy told ya
