Default turbo restrictor

i was talking to a guy with the same cummins as me the 96 12 valve he tlod me there was a restrictor just inside the turbo that can be taken out but there is a line that must be pluged up this will give her some more ***** but i dont know what line dose anybody know about this?

there is a silencer cone in there that is the only thing that i know of to take out not really much more ***** sounds better though

yeah silencer is only thing i could think of unless the line he is talking about is the waste gate?

The restrictor like above said is the silencer ring, there's no power addition when removed just more turbo whistle. The plugging of a line though would be the wastegate line and there's two options. Just block it off or install a boost elbow so you can have control over the amount of best.

Why is it you think it will destroy the turbo? Keep it under 35lbs and there won't be any problems. Or if you think you will forget like I said put a boost elbow on it.
