leakage oil filter
Hy there!
Today I found a Bosch filter device in the storage which is used to prefilter Radar coolant. It obviously does come from the automotive section.
I looked in our computers and it showed up as a "leakage oil filter" from Bosch.
Being a smarty I called Bosch and asked what kind of device that is. But they have no idea about it- item is to old and not longer listed...
Does anybody knows about a "leakage oil filter", what it is and what it is used for???
I have no idea what it could be used for.
Maybe some Dieselbombers from the construction, heavy rig or agriculture branch know about it?
It looks and it is an external filter unit with a cartridge filter type,
diameter is around 4" and it has also the same length:
on top of the filter you can see the 14mm inlet and opposing outlet wit a vent screw in the middle. the top center screw is the locking screw for the lid:
the filter itself is still available from different brands- it shows that it is a fine filtration filter unit which filters down to 3 microns.
Sorry for the blurry pics, I had to hurry, because Radar coolant is a heavy poisionous and strong aggressive fluid and I wanted to have that "stinky thingy" as quick in its storage container as possible:
Thanks for your help!
