i use those type of connectors on welding rig cables whit used. i wouldnt worry about someone hooking them up together. the fire will fly

i like the idea, but i just carry a jump pack, no worries bout having to fight cables

bombs: 12v, 175 p-7100 pump, 4k gsk, SDX 5x.014, S&B intake, 4 inch exhaust to a 7 inch black stack, goerends TC and VB, o-ringed block, airdog 150, 60lb valve springs, backwoods bumper.

We use the SB connectors on our police cruisers, they work really great. But BigEd also makes a great point with the jump packs, that way you can jump your truck / car if need be.

On my shop truck I hooked up the Anderson plugs and 2/0 welding cable with 45' leads for jumping the equipment, 6' leads for jumping myself and a booster pack just in case (12/24 volt).

Actually, thats false....for high vibration applications like this a crimp connection is better.


But I would also cover the connection with a good quality heat shrink.

not sure where i seen it but yo can get the welding connectors that you can drill a hole in your bumber and bolt them right in so they are not floping around as well... Nice setup...

looks like a good setup i ran mine out of my toolbox behind the cab 1st gen has no room under the hood for two batteries toolbox does and use caterpillar style plugins mounted on the side of the toolbox works well also
