I am about to buy a new work truck and have been played bt the BIG 3 many times and am thinking of going mitz fuso fg140 for hauling tools, stock and plowing snow.It is powered by a mitz 4m50 4.9 liter water cooled turbo I-4.salesman says its the best diesel in country and good for 400k to 500k before overhaul but very little info on them.Any body know much about these trucks any help greatly appreciated.Salesman tlod me it is the only real diesel you can buy what do you guys think.

i can't say much about their diesels because i've never had one, but they make a hell of a strong turbo engine that they used in the eclipses. stock block is good for 450hp. (that's a 2.0L 4 cyl. if yo'ure not up on cars.) they are just overbuilt the way a cummins is. based on that, i woud think they can build a damn good diesel as well.

Well I actualy bought the mitz and took it home puddle of oil under it in the morning thinking I was screwed called the salesman he said do you want us to fix it or not do the deal they hadnt filled out all paperwork so I returned it.Yesterday I became the proud owner of a 09 srw 3500 chev duramax with 19 miles on it.Now I need advice on best breakin procedure and when (milage)should someone change to synthetic fluids and what type oils are the most bang for your buck.Then we talk BOMBing it.
