Default DO NOT CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH DIESEL CARE AND PERFORMANCE

Here is a letter I sent....they will do everything they can to not help you.

This is not a question but a review of your products, warranty, and customer service. I dealt with a gentleman named Stuart and while he was courteous he was ultimately unhelpful. I am not sure if it’s because he doesn’t have the authority to truly help or he doesn’t really care to help. Not sure which he subscribes to but in either case assistance was not rendered.

Here are the facts:
1. I have a 2003 GMC Duramax that was smoking pretty badly.
2. I had the specialist at Performance Authority in Bend conduct a balance test, the results were 5 of 8 injectors out of spec.
1 cylinder = 4.5
2 cylinder = -1
3 cylinder = 0
4 cylinder = -1
5 cylinder = 5.5
6 cylinder = 4
7 cylinder = 7
8 cylinder = 4

3. The person I bought the truck from (Joey Glines) was responsible to ensure the vehicle passed a smog test hence he purchased 8 of your LB7 injectors
4. The mechanics from Performance Authority installed your injectors @ 1100.00 labor
5. The mechanics from Performance Authority conducted a follow on balance test with the below results.
1 cylinder = 15
2 cylinder = -.8
3 cylinder = 6.9
4 cylinder = -5.7
5 cylinder = -7
6 cylinder = -1.4
7 cylinder = -7
8 cylinder = 1.9

6. I called and spoke to Stuart in the warrantee department. Following several minutes of discussion with Stuart the only concession he would provide is to pay for 1/2 the cost of overnight freight….ONLY after he received your companies warrantee paperwork, signed. Knowing that there was no way for me to get the paperwork to the purchaser of your product (Joey Glines) and then get it to your office by close of business today (02 Jan 2014) there would be no way for this issue to be resolved prior to the weekend. So as you can see this was no real assistance at all, but an attempt to placate me and not address my situation.

Now since your product does not perform in my truck I have a couple of options.
- Have 5 of the injectors that are WAY out of spec removed and replaced with new one from you. It’s interesting that you provide a service and cloak yourself in legal jargon to keep your inferior product in circulation. Otherwise why would you not be responsible for removal and reinstallation of the injectors that are bad (even thought the are new from your company)?

- My second option is to have the guys from Performance Authority order and install new injectors.

Since your company has not shown the loyalty to its customers I would have expected I will never receive repeat business from me or anyone I can influence. Rest assured that I will go on as many Diesel truck forums and repost this note to you in its entirety.

It’s amazing you hide behind policy and legal jargon to shirk your responsibilities to your customers.

Respectfully,

Chuck Clingensmith
