The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is quite possibly one of the craziest motorsport events held in the United States today, and it has been on my bucket list for a very long time.The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is quite possibly one of the craziest motorsport events held in the United States today, and it has been on my bucket list for a very long time. Not necessarily to race it—though I wouldn’t turn down the opportunity if something were to land in my lap—but at the very least to make the pilgrimage to Colorado Springs and spend a week taking in all the action. It wasn’t the crazy Unlimited Class cars, wild exotics, or even the all-wheel-drive imports that piqued my interest; the semitrucks were what really got my attention.
