engine developed shutter/miss recently, seems to be most noticable around 1500rpm. checked vc wiring harness and found one to be partially disconnected under passenger side. replaced gaskets and wiring harnesses on both sides but shutter/miss is still there just not as severe. did buzz test on injectors and tested fine. the biggest problem that has me stumped is that its not showing any codes! any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 

Hate to cry wolf again but last time my 96 PSD was missing at 2100 RPM I replaced the damn CPS sensor and it cleared right up. If you have a spare CPS swap it and try.

It can't explain why but I'm on my 3rd CPS and most of my problems hae been due to the CPS sensor going south.

thanks for the reply, cps sensor was replaced about a year ago when ford had the recall for that problem. any chance it could have gone bad that soon.

 

did cct over the weekend and #3 injector showed failure, replaced and truck runs like a top again. thanks for everyones imput.
