No, it will still throw a code on your 05, insufficient EGR flow.

who exactly told you this. because that is completely wrong. as stated, the CCV and egr system has 0 to do with each other.

another thing oil will not, i repeat, will not cause black smoke out of the exhauts. only way to get black smoke is have more fuel than you have air to burn it.

the oil in the turbo, intercooler and tubes is from the CCV that is in the plumbed into the stock intake.

the oil from the CCV gets burned in the cylinder. it causes no problems with the internals of the motor. but it has been known to blow IC boots off.

i have done 4 egr deletes. each truck the turbo spooled alot faster. and also gained 2 mpg just by doing the delete.

And cool down when you park is quite a bit faster with the EGR deleted.
