Default Diesel conversion

I am thinking about putting a 5.9 mechanical cummins into my 77 f-250, was wondering if anyone here has done this and knows what to expect to get into during the process. Dont know if its worth the time and money, but i already have the truck and engine. And i can never have too many diesels running around the place.

Sounds fun to me. Lots of swaps going on at 4btswaps.com including the 5.9's. I'm sure there have been some on here too. May also want to check out the page at Destroked - THE Cummins Conversion Company : Home Page as well for cummins conversion parts.

it was definatly worth it.

There is some good info on the 4bt site, but most of the members are ****. Do lurk a bit to find what you need from the site.

no biggie, i had a good chuckle when he started posting build pics, couldn't believe someone else was doing a cummins swap in a truck that looks so close to mine!

and he does post a whole lot more than i do.

Easiest way to do it is get a donor truck to swap the whole drive train into your truck
