2000 ford excursion 7.3 loss of power
Hesitating and loss of power
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2000 Ford excursion 7.3. . Seems like its taking longer to prime. Sometimes will turn key to start and nothing will happen. Will wait and try second time and will start right up. Idles fine. Press the gas and very slowly gains speed even though RPMs high. Take foot off of gas pedal and press again, it will shift and again will slowly pick up speed. Doesnt seem like turbo is kicking on. Loses power at 70 and occasionally stumbles. No check engine light. No codes. Had pump replaced a yr and a half ago. Fuel gauge in line after pump reads 50+ at idle drop to 28 at full speed. Shut truck off and pressure drop to 0 within 5 seconds.
Any ideas?

All fluids and filters on the truck were recently done but double checked fuel filter and it was clean. Checked the sensor behind the motor infront of the fan. Drawing a blank on the name.( Had a problem with it being dirty and made my truck run aweful.Blew it out and it ran like a champ.) Checked it today but it was clean. Now that Im thinking maybe I should check that line it sits on. Anyway, started checking turbo lines for blackages, cracks or kinks. They were fine. Waste gate was stuck. Got it moving. Hope this will solve the turbo issue. Not sure if this has anything to do with the startup issue. Will run the truck tomorrow and report back.

Had it hooked up to a computer at a truck shop. Cant remember the make or model but it was high end. (know the guy that did it and he wont mess around with cheap stuff.) Hes checked it twice already and nothing.
However after freeing up the waste gate, the truck it running good so far. Still taking longer than usual to prime. Once it does it starts right up and runs good. So now what? Someone suggested O rings on injectors???
