He installed a chip and he defiantly did not do it right. Before install no codes and now he has a whole bunch of codes and his truck will not start. I was wondering if there is a way to reset to default factory settings.

Every chip manufacturer should have saved the 'factory defaults' into the programmer before changing the settings. By programming the lowest setting should put the truck back to 'factory defaults'.

Let us know.

The PCM will store the codes until they are deleted with a scanner...

What are his whole bunch of codes?

You need to understand the difference between a chip, and a programer.

A programer will store the factory parameters onto it and load its own...

A chip overrides the factory PCM programing until such time as the chip is removed.
