Default Bad MPG'S

i have a 99 f250, 6'' lift on 35x12.50x16.5 tires, cold air intake, 4'' turbo back, edge evolution chip, runs great but only gets 13mpg.
what can i do to get better mpgs? friends with the same trucks mildly modded on same size tires are getting 18+ mpg...
thanks

Sounds about right to me. Besides, with a status that reads, "new truck needs some power", it appears that mileage shouldn't be a concern. You will NEVER get more power and better mileage at the same time. Pick one or the other and accept it for what it is.

Aftermarket intake and exhaust do NOTHING for mileage so that's a null point.

As stated, take off the lift and the wide tires. The tuning on the EVO is not hurting your mileage (unless you can't keep your foot out of the accelerator pedal at which point NO other brand of tuning will help your mileage) so no issues there.

I highly doubt your friends are getting 18 MPG with similar trucks and tires.

What is hpop? I just got the truck so I'm not too sure about the fuel filter. And my friends have 4" lifts, but run the same size tires.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Also, the 'new truck needs more power' is for a. Stock 1996 12valve I bought

Hpop is the high pressure oil pump. Change the fuel filter and see what it does. What gears do you have what gears do they have?
