cps problems
I have a 2002 powerstroke and had the cps recall done by the dealer in March 2011. Prior to the recall I was having stahling problems and the engine missing and bucking, these where all eliminated with the new cps. The problems have returned, so I went to Orielys and got a new cps, no good, do not use these cps's. I ordered one from diesel orings, the black international model. I put it on the truck and the truck ran much better but I am still having a stahling and the engine is still missing. It is hard to believe that the new cps is bad. What are the chances that there may be a short in a wire, or some othe problem? Need some direction on this issue not sure what to do or what to look for.

I would check your UVC harness on both sides. Both exterior and under the valve covers.
Also I would check and clean your IPR.

Thanks for the advice, removed and cleaned the Ipr and truck is running fine. Looked at the wire harness connections on the outside of valve covers and everything looked good. Did not open up valve covers for UVC harness. If the IPR did not fix it that is when I was going to dive into the valve covers. Thanks for your help.
