Default 1 and 6 cylinder not firing?? low compression

Took truck to shop today, checked it over and 1 and 6 arent firing. Checked compression and found out that 1 is 325lbs. Looking for some advice. The shop is going to check out the injectors on that bank but i dont know where to go with this. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Truck is 1999 F 250 SD 7.3.

What are the rest of them... 325 is low, but not dead... For example the motor in my truck now is between 320-330psi at 3500'. Now I am at 7200' now and I would bet the numbers are about 300psi... I just leave it plugged in all the time now.

What is the compression on all and go from there.

When you say #1 and #6 are not firing how did they tell that? Contribution test?

They took out the glow plugs i guess, he had called back and said that #1 injector is shot and now they are gonna check out the other bank and look at #6. Didnt ask what the other cylinders were. Pretty sure they only checked it on the cylinders that werent firing.

Checking one cylinder will do you no good. You need to know the average. If there all at 325 then you dont have a compression issue.

How can he tell that the #1 injector is shot? You can not pull an injector and say "yup... there is your issue". You would have to have the equitment to test that injector.

I would be very leary of the shop you are at right now... VERY.

they run a computer on it and found that #1 and #6 werent firing, so they did a compression check on those cylinders to make sure they werent washed out, found that the injectors on those cylinders were no good when they put them on the pressure test machine. replaced them 2 and checked out all other injectors. put it back together and, drove it home today. check on all injectors was 240.00 bux, 2 injectors 480 bux and labor was 500 didnt think that was too bad for a good going over. they also did a fuel pressure test.
