so ive been making plans to increase the power of my 03 7.3 (past just a chip) and was wondering what is a safe hp that a stock trans can handle (assuming that im not running it for all its worth all the time)

 

It really depends on the condition of your transmission currently...

Some trucks can't handle even the added power of a chip... Some take big injectors and a chip.

I can tell you my truck has 1's and a chip and it is hanging on... But it isn't happy with me sometimes and I've only had them in there for about 1500 miles or so...
