Default Warm hubs

I have an 01 f250. Replaced my factory auto locking hubs with warn manual hubs. Installation looked straight forward but it has a lot of in and out play. Locking ring is very far away from the assembly causing this. Any one else have these and know whats wrong? Thank you.

Did you cycle the hubs while holding them prior to install? Mine had alot of gap, but are snug after install...SuperWinch tho.

this is what mine are doing. has nothing to do with the tabs lining up. Engagement is fine. The locking ring is 1/8" away from assembly so nothing holds it all the way in. Going to call warn today.

nvmd. I am an idiot. after looking at my hubs i thought no way lining the tabs would make any difference in the play just engagement but didnt do it. After sitting her for a while thinking more about how to fix it I thought maybe it would and it did. Wow do I feel dumb.
