Default transmission go boom

so im at a lost as to how this happened...03 250 with 70k on it...it has a superchip on it now (temp till i can get a ts) i gave it half throttle to pull into traffic didnt hear a boom or anything went to get on the freeway and she wouldnt come outta 3rd.

so any idea on what could have caused this

and who makes a good 500 to 600 hp rebuild kit (im not even close to that power level but since im spending the money im gunna do it right the first time)

Thanks

Jeremy

suncoast has a rebuild kit for around 500 bucks, not sure how much horse it'll hold though? its the same clutches they put in their transmissions so i'm sure it wil hold plenty
