how can i fix a turbo surge

Mine is a 2000 f 250. i think this is the same problem i have. by under the turbo do you mean between turbo and engine?? i cant see any wires there. i do have a red one on the drivers side all by itself...is this it?

Yes, under the turbo, its on the turbo pedistal... The red "wire" is a red line, it runs boost pressure to the turbo wastegate accuator when the PCM requests it.

ok thanks dumb question will that help if it is unplugeed?? im confussed on that issue

u can remove it and replace it with a frezeplug

sorry the red line. I have seen on some threads people said you could unplug that line. I do want some easier fixes for problems and will work up performance as money allows but I also want my baby to last. Still trying to find the balance between performance and reliability. I am such a newb!

un pluging the red line and pluging it over one of the IC boot bolts is a common mod that might give you a bit more boost, does it help any... doubtful, but so long as you stay under 28-30# boost you should be fine.

OK I will try that. I havent seen my guage read above 22-23 on boost. Thanks
