Default my truck dies and starts after a cooling time and then dies again, need help

I have a 2002 f350 7.3 turbo that will die randomly and I let set for 25 min. To 2 hours and then it starts and eventually dies again, I have taken it to one shop and they replaced the cam shaft positioning sensor and it didn't help. I pulled in to get gas and shut it off, it wouldn't restart, waited 25 min and it started. I pulled away parked and shut off truck and restarted up 3 times. I took it to another shop and they repaired the wiring under the valve cover going to the injectors, no good. I need help!!!

Does randomly stop running, or will it not start after you've turned it off?

If the former, I've got nothing.

If it's the latter it could be the Park/Neutral cutout switch. It's a safety switch that won't let the truck start in gear. You can test it by trying to change gear from Park to Neutral and try to start again. The switch determines if you're in gear based on the position of the indicator in the dash. There's an adjustment wheel in the steering column. I had that happen and it took me forever to figure out and fix.

Good Luck.

Default Thanks

Thanks but it's both, it will shut off randomly while driving and sometimes it won't start. I will try that and see if it helps though.

Sounds like a cam position sensor. That's how mine acted when the first two died and I bought one from International. It's been good for the last umpteen years.
