I would start by doing a live data read with a scan tool to see what the sensors are doing when the truck is actually doing it. Start from there and see if you see any substantial changes go on during the event. If no changes, I would start looking at the lift pump and injection pressures. Also check high pressure oil pump pressure while doing this. Could be a o ring starting to fail on the injectors. How does it start? Does it long crank? A bear to get started when cold?

Maybe we are over looking the situation have you ever dropped the fuel tank and looked at the two filters that are inside your pickup. Those two little filters can get gunked up pretty quick depending on what kind of tank you have if you have a mid ship or a after axel tank the lamination inside the tank seems to separate and that gets caught up in your filters and it will be like your engine is starving for fuel. Check your fuel pressure. What should his fuel pressure be at Big Horn. Big Horn is pretty good at this .
