Default edge evolution cs questions

I got the edge cs evo programmer this week at a truck show and I was told I would have economy. I set it up and everything updated it and I only have 3 programming options. I only see a tow race and extreme. Shouldn't there be a eco mode?

Some trucks had that setting and some don't. We found that running the higher tunes will give you the best mileage if you can drive with a light foot.

Yea I don't see that happening . I think I might return it for a ts style chip then. The rep for the shop was telling me it would have it and after using it once it's not what I was expecting.

I know it has a custom tube setting but I don't know anything about making a tune. I used it today when driving to work I didn't really like the shifting.

the TS is 10x better then the edge but the hydra is better then the TS. you dont write the tunes unless you want to. you buy tunes from the custom tuner of your choice.

Hell with it I drove out after work to zimmey's diesel and they exchanged a full refund and I got the sct live wire with the switch on the fly and they even knocked money off the egt probe. I feel like I made a good choice because I can switch on the fly and I still get my monitor with gauges. That's the main thing I wanted were the gauges.

The sct is on the same level as the edge. Tunes are not great and don't know anyone who custom tunes 7.3s on the sct.

I asked my local diesel mechanic and he said sct is the way to go for my truck for the mileage and what's done to it. I'm not looking for crazy hp tunes I just want eco mode and tow I don't want anything nuts and I wanted the gauges. Yes I know allot of duramax owners use the livewire. I wanted to try something different. Also I never seen a review on the new sct for a 7.3 since bullydog and sct merged companies in 2014.

You don't hear about them cause they are crap on a 7.3. Your mechanic needs to stop giving out false advice. You don't have to have ecrazy HP to run custom tunes. You just have to want the best tuning you can, and that is custom. Not some half assed thrown together **** that is mediocre for all 7.3s. Does it work for what you want? Yes it does. Is it the best? Not by far. It's like going to Walmart or dolce and gabbana to buy a suit. Sure they are both suits but one is a hell of alot nicer.

But can't you get custom tunes for the sct live wire? I always see people running bully dog tunes and the new sct is bully dog. Idk my diesel mechanic friend told me that the kraken is the top chip right now but he said for what I want the sct I couldn't go wrong. It's not like he was selling me the chip. But I guess I'll have to try it out for myself and see. Some people who run the edge with juice think it's nicer than a ts but I guess it's all preference and what you like?
