Default O/D light flashing

Just bought my 6th 2nd gen and earlier the od off light started flashing on and off and the tranny shifts a little quick any ideas?

If you don't have a scanner, any good auto parts store should have handhelds they will let you use, not the best scanners but they should pull something.

Could be anything inside the trany setting it off. Drop the pan and see how much debris is attached to the magnet in the bottom of the pan if it looks like a doughnut that's clutch material and you need to rebuild the trany if it doesn't then it's probably a pressure problem. Pump or selenoid or both.

Try the VSS vehicle speed sensor on top of the pumkin. $40 part at the dealer. Mine has done that with both of my 7.3's; 96 & 99, and it always cured that hiccup.
