Default 20+mpg?

I've seen on diff online sites of guys getting 18mpg in town and 20+ highway with a 4x4 6speed with tuner intake and exhaust.... is there any truth to this? Has anybody gotten these numbers before?

3.55 gearing, 35" tires, and a baby right foot and I pulled an avg 23 out of my truck a decent bit.
Also can drive it and get 12.
It can be done
But it's also not a 7.3

When i had a 1999 F-250 7.3 super-cab, long-bed 2WD, I was getting up to 15 mpg in the city & 18 mpg on the highway

Our intake/exhaust 7.3 gets 12 with a granny foot. I think the turbo is melted though. Heard of swapped fordcummins on propane that can get 25-30+ If I was a hotshoter that's what I would do.
