Default Dead throttle pedal

2001 Ford F-350 SD, 7.3L. Engine will start and idle fine but won't rev. Throttle pedal has absolutely no effect on engine rpm. Any info on where to start would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know the history of the vehicle. I just started a new job today as a small engine mechanic and the 1st thing the boss asks me to do is "See if you can get that service truck running".

Default

the throttle is all electric so I wold think there are 3 things to look at

1 the throttle should be a simple potentiometer
2 there should be a stepper motor that it controls
3 computer it should control the signal

might be as simple as a loose connection

also I would post same question on this site first in the superduty forum and then engine specific
