dealer says injector used hot shot....
01' here....
truck started blowing white smoke when it was cold and running hard once it got going cleared up and was okay, then it shook hard so I took it to dealer and they pulled up 1 injector bad and a glow plug... Read about Hot Shot additive, used it. 3 days later (300-400 miles later) Truck ran like a champ. no smoke, no shake. then 3 days after that, started blowing smoke again constantly and shaking worse.. no 5 days after it started shaking again, it wont start. hard a hard time cranking it over yesterday had a problem running at 1400 rpm on the highway doing 40 so turned around and let it sit. plugged it in for the night, next morning hard start limped it home, but if you goosed it to get it going it wouldnt go anywhere, I'm assuming its starving for fuel... This morning it wouldnt start, I got it to crank over a few times but it wouldnt idle on me. would an single injector cause it to not start at all or did the hot shot really gunk something up trying to clean out the junk?

I would pull the fuel filter out of the housing. Look inside the bottom of the housing. If you see gunk in the bottom. Then I would think about cleaning the system from the housing to the tank. Drip the tank. Look inside and see what you see.
Then I would think about cleaning from the filter to the injectors. This is a big task and takes a LONG TIME.
