Default 4r100 transmission problems

My name is Eric I have a 2001 f350 4x4 with a 7.3 psd. My tranny has been acting up for quite a few years. I have had it rebuilt 5 times by 3 different companies and still leaks, overheats, and will not shift into 4th gear so I constantly run 2000plus rpms doing city speeds. Can not tow or do any long trips as the tranny will over heat with in 10 mins. Does anyone know of any good shops in the central fl area that is reputable or is there any other options to try that aren't $4000 for an ATS or BTS tranny.
Thanks.

You should have done it right the first time and bought a BTS, that's what you get when you have local shops build your tranny

We'll a 23 year old paying his own way through fire fighter school and then paramedic school 6 days a week for 2 years doesn't really have $4000 (on the low side for a BTS) to drop on a BTS. I did it right the first time, and didn't take out loans for school or a tranny. I paid it all in cash.

I'm not sure what's confusing about in school 6 days a week for 2 years and minimal money to spare at the time it needed rebuilding. But thanks for the posts you've been a real help with my issue.
