Default Coolant temp gauge

I need help. My coolant temp gauge isn't working. What things should I check out? I haven't messed with one before so I don't know where to start.. I appreciate any help. I need to get it inspected ASAP

Ok I will pick one up. I didn't know if it would be the sensor that went bad or the thermostat.

Where is the sensor at? And is it hard to replace?

Replace your Coolant Temp Sensor, here's you a diagram. Better than crap you see on google.

I know it's the 6.0 Engine but, it's close enough to give you a general idea of the location. They don't make crap for diagrams online for the 7.3 base blocks.

If you need the part number, let me know and I will hook ya up brotha!

I should be able to just get a sensor from advanced auto right? Or do you think I should go to the dealership

I'd go to Autozone, or Advanced. They have OEM replacement parts, and that's what you want is OEM not that modified junk.
