2002 Ford F-250 7.3 4x4 316,000 miles. OK, two weeks ago my wife was following me home when my truck shut off. I had a TS Performance 6 Position Chip. Smelt Burnt Plastic. So I grabbed my towstrap (first time it was hooked to the front of my truck) and had my wife pull me home. I had installed my TS by only making a notch big enough to fit the female end of the cable and so the mount box held my chip in. I have drove the truck for roughly two months (the amount of time I have had the TS) so I disconnected my batteries removed my ECM and sent it off to a reflash company. They called me to inform me that it could not be reflashed it was fried. So $25 in shipping to get it to them, $25 to get it back. I have a friend who works at the local Ford dealer who was able to locate me an ECM. Received the ECM, batteries disconnected installed the ECM with no chip. Truck cranked right up ran really rough though, very hesitant on the accelerator. So I opened the fuel bowl valve and turned the key to verify flow, bowl drained and then flow stopped. Turned key to on and no flow. Pulled the frame rail fuel pump. No power to fuel pump. Checked inertia switch 10V in and 10V out. 0V when key off. I also checked for no known reason to me the 4x4 switch, it wont go into 4x4 which it always has done. So why or how would all these things happen at one time. To get it running would it be unethical to run a wire to replace the pink with black stripe wire from the inertia switch to the fuel pump? But thats just to get rolling, I am so frustrated I cant stand it, I am quite familiar with auto electrical but cant seem to get a grip on this. Oh, and my old fuel pump(the original) pumps like a champ at 84psi.
