Hello I have a 2000 7.3 and I bout pillar mount and 3 gauges for it (EGT, Trans, Boost). I am having trouble putting them in and have a couple questions about them to the people that have installed them...

- Why is there a constant 12v wire and a non-constant 12v and is it necessary to put them both in?
-When I try to wire the constant 12v to the fuse box with a add a fuse it does not work but when I wire it straight to the battery it does... any suggestions?
