Default Always something...

2001 7.3. TS chip and a DIY intake (perfectly sealed up)

Sitting at a stop light, light turns green, I press the pedal and sometimes it wont go. I press the gas and it does nothing for 3-4secs, so then I tap it a few times then it finally responds. Why would this be doing this? Other threads said to clean the EGR, but when I researched how to do so the site said 2001 7.3's didn't have a EGR? Any help would be awesome

Hey,
I had the same trouble with mine. I had the accelerator or module or something like replaced and I've not had any more problems with it.

Good luck!!

There is a pedal position sensor there. Im betting it went bad. just replace it and you'll be golden. They do go out every once in a while.

Haven't changed it yet, but when it happens now the check engine light comes on for like 2-3 secs. Craziness. Does this change the diagnoses?
