The powerstroke only starts making power at 2k rpm . I run mine to 3400 daily and has gone 195k that way.

When you are traveling on the highway nothing wrong spinning some r's to get going. And to cool it down if egt starts getting hot.

The V8 powerstroke and I6 cummins react completely different to rpm even though the Cummings boys buy the 4k governor springs and run them hard.

The fuel is all that goes bad when you are above 2000 rpm.

Do they own diesels?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

The best thing to do is do the research yourself. Opinions vary, and can be misleading. Especially those who give opinions on stuff they dont own. Sorry......just a pet peeve of mine.

If you have 4.10 gears, your rpms will be higher as opposed to 3.73 gears. PSD will make HP and peak torque at a higher rpm than cummins. But, yes its ok to run your engine higher than 2k.
