Front Axle Relocation

Front Axle Relocation
Anyone out there that has moved their front axle forward 1-3 inches?
I am running 6" lift with the full Dynatrac crossover kit and an ARB front bumper, the way the bumper is contoured I have plenty of room to move the front axle forward which would allow for additional compression when off roading. Right now under full compression my tires (37" Baha's) make contact with the rear inner fender due to the fact that the shackle is in the rear and the front of the spring is fixed mounted. If I moved the front axle forward a few inches I believe I may increase the ride quality and allow for more travel in off road situations ....
Any thoughts???
