Just bought an F350
I just bought a 2000 F350. It has 168k miles on it, and is a 6-speed. It's only ever pulled a small bass boat. The water pump was just recently replaced. It has a superchip on it, but I'm going to install a TS 6 POS on it. I also had intentions on straight piping it until I can afford a full exhaust. What kinda maintenance am I going to be looking at here soon, or possible issues?

Oil cooler seals- Probably already weaping/leaking oil @ front housing
Fuel bowl reseal- Leaks fuel at the yellow drain valve
Injectors- When its real cold out you'll have a romp and blue smoke
I would install a coolant filter and after 1500 miles do a full coolant flush with distilled water, ending with an ELC coolant and distilled water. Best time for a new thermostat, and updated billet housing along with dual alternator hose(allows for serp belt change without removing upper rad hose)
Trans filter and fluid change- drain and fill on trans usually nets 7 qts, but if your torque converter has a drain, figure in a few more. Always good to have fresh trans fluid.
Definitely check out the diff fluid, chances are its never been done. Towing is hell on rears, get a good 75w140 in there along with some modifier...

Hit right on the money. Oil cooler seals are leaking slightly. I will be replacing that ASAP. It does have a small amount of blue smoke when I first start it on cold mornings. It isn't really bad and it doesn't have a romp. I'm probably going to go over and check out everything you listed off. It has a brand new thermostat according to the receipts the guy gave to me with the truck. Thanks for the help!
