I have a 2002 f350 7.3 power steering fluid sprayed all over the driver side tire. i found the hose thats leaking, its the one that runs on the frame to the front of the truck does anyone have an idea what this hose is? I feel like it connects to the mcyl but not sure it was dark out last night when it happened.

 

High pressure line. Goto napa and theyll hook you up.

 

If it runs to the front of the truck it's probably a cooler hose

 

same thing happened to mine. I lost all power steering and brakes. it was my high pressure line and cost like 40 bucks and now its fine. just make sure if that's the problem that you bleed the line when you replace it

 

Mine is tough to turn at idle but once I start bringing up the rpm it steers fine. Could mine need new lines or is it the power steering pump?
